Weekend Away From Office

We’ve not had many dry days so far this year, so the outside work has been limited to the odd day or so. Everything needs my attention in the garden, and because the weekend forecast is for no rain, I’ve decided to leave my office work and catch up on a few things in the cool air instead.

After a little trip to a local charity shop on Saturday morning, we returned home, and I decided the two cars needed cleaning, inside and out. That chore alone tired me out, and by mid-afternoon, I started to experience that heavy body feeling when tiredness creeps in.

I was surprised when Jane informed me that today was the fourth anniversary of Spirited Talk. Senior Envoy Ann has constantly supported my work with this project, and her notice in our Facebook group reminded me and everyone else.

Four years – it feels like much longer than that for me! It’s not been a smooth journey, quite the opposite. If I had my time again, knowing what I know now, I wouldn’t have started. But hey ho, here we are now. Spirited Talk, as a project, has had to evolve. In hindsight, the pace it was going in the first couple of years was too much. The costs were high in investment and time, whilst the returns were, and still are, very poor in business terms.

Looking positively at the project, I have learned so much from it. I’ve talked with some good people and created a decent legacy for my years of working with the spirit world. I’ve not ruled out returning to the interviewing side of the project at some point in the future. But before I can even consider that, there is much work to be done to the final home of Spirited Talk – this website.

Anyway, thank you so much, Ann B., for remembering the occasion and your tireless support from the beginning. There is one other person who shall remain nameless, who has given regular funds to this project every month, almost from the beginning. His funding has allowed the podcasts to remain distributed to all the podcast apps. Thank you, Bob.

Anyway, it’s the wee small hours of the morning, and it’s time I went to bed. Tomorrow, I’ve got a lawn to cut and some small jobs to do outside.

Thank you all for your support.
