The Feeling Of Being Useless.

During the recent events that led to the passing of Jane’s mother to spirit, there were several times when I was frustrated and even angry at the spirit team that serves me.
As a medium, I found it extremely difficult and annoying being in a position where I was believed by others to be able to connect to the spirit world, yet couldn’t find anything out about Barbara’s situation in her last days on earth. The spirit world was silent to me on this subject.
I watched Jane and John, Barbara’s children, suffering the anguish of their mother’s situation. At one point, doctors in the manic hospital suggested that if Barbara regained consciousness, she might be in a vegetative state, crippled or unable to do anything. These words added to the pain they were suffering. The lack of real help and support was frightening. And then the news was given that Barbara was too old and damaged inside her head for an operation. She would only be offered palliative care until the end.
All I wanted to know from the spirit team was what was pending ahead. Surely that is not too much to ask, I demanded of them. Nothing, no response. Instead of being valuable and able to offer some hope or comfort, all I could do was listen to Jane and John, support and share their frustration with the situation.
The truth is that mediums are kept in the dark during these times for good reason. Imagine announcing something construed as optimistic from the spirit world, giving vague and false hope and comfort. Or imagine being aware of the time and date of an impending passing. Knowing such details are beyond the pay grade of a medium most of the time and I should have considered that.
I learnt so much during those tragic days of December. I realised the limits of my abilities and where my place is in such situations. Since Barbara passed over, I have received visions from her with words of love. I have been extremely careful with how I say anything about them, occasionally choosing not to. But when Jane has asked, I’ve stepped carefully and cautiously, filtering what it is I now know to words that are without pain and discomfort for her.
Being a medium carries with it a huge responsibility to be quiet when needed and to respect the processes without adding further interpretations.
POST SCRIPT
- Nobody’s going to wake up knowing this day is to be their last on earth. Barbara was one of us that believed she would last a few more years than she did.
THE WFSIW SESSION
We are aware that there is a transition about to occur to your Mother-In-Law, Barbara. Of course, this is a sad occasion for you and those that knew her in life. She was a popular lady and had done so much, particularly in her later years, to serve in the community.
The incident that brought this transition into affect was not planned or expected. It was a bodily breakdown that happened naturally. God is not cruel. If God wanted Barbara, or anyone for that matter, to return home, then there are natural ways it would be done. The cruelty of nature and human biology is not one.
Yes, her family this side have been called to welcome her and greet her with warmth and love when the process is complete.
I know you have been angry with those of us here working with you. Your anger comes from the seeming lack of insight you have been presented with and that has bothered you. You do not have a say in whom is going to be included in the communications you receive from this side.
The universal forces do not feel it an essential part of your personal journey to share details with you about Barbara’s passing. It would harm you and perhaps those around you, to share the impending loss or details related, even though we were unaware of the incident forthcoming before it actually happened.
You, and other mediums need to understand that the ability to communicate wtih this side is not a right. It is a privilege and one you have no say in. This does not in any way reflect your own abilities, merely to serve as a reminder that the Divine forces are bigger and more important than human desires.
What we will advise you is that both Jane and her brother John will mourn their Mother’s loss deeply. John will feel lonely as if he stands in the world alone without a parent to guide and share love.
Jane will fulfil that role for some time into the future. All of you will recall many fond memories over the coming weeks and in doing so will give strength and lasting love to Barbara.
You, my child, have [illegible word] much to learn and your journey forward will be greatly shaped by the events of now.
Thank you for erasing that sentence you just wrote. It may have been inaccurate and was caused by your mediumship powers trying to fill gaps. Please accept the situation for what it is and do what you can as a good spiritual person serving the Divine forces.
You can write this . . . Jane is going to need your help as her earth partner. I would like you to return to more healing with her, but not on specific areas of the body. Instead, focus on spiritual healing for her.
Your desire for seeking specific information is still polluting your thoughts and because of that, I want you to stop writing and rest up please. You will be called upon soon my dear.

TREV'S AFTERTHOUGHTS

This period of time was a difficult one, particularly when sitting for words from the spirit speakers. The challenge I had to overcome was stopping myself from tapping into my own knowledge and education about these types of events. I have witnessed three other passings over the past decades, each different in how the person left this world.
🔷 Connecting to spirit during these last two weeks in December was not the problem. The problem was in me listening to the words of spirit without adding my own from my own imagination. But I have come to realise that there are 3 sources at work during the writing.
1) My own imagination, fed with known knowledge into the conversation.
2) The speaker in the spirit world, where I hope to focus my listening.
3) My higher spirit/self. Very much like my own imagination, but deeper and spiritually driven.
🔷 I believe that when we are having a personal crisis, such as a death to a loved one, our higher spirit can be heard easier, because we are listening with more desire to hear from the spirit world. Based on that assumption, some of the words in this sample of writing above might have come from my higher spirit or soul.
🔷 There is evidence in the writing against that theory however. The style of the words and certain phrases used appear to be those that you might expect from a female speaker. She refers to me as ‘my child’ at one point. But I know without doubt that it is not my mother speaking, or any female I know in the spirit world. I am delighted to welcome that female energy into these conversations. It doesn’t happen that often as I am aware of.
