Memories Of My Dad

Memories Of My Dad

Here is a wonderful way to permanently remind yourself of the memories of someone special in the spirit world. Write a poem about them in which you express your feelings for them, their personality, the memories you have of them and how they are missed in your life.

If you’d like to share your poem with me, I’ll select the best and feature in a future video in our Tuesday video slot. You can record it on your smartphone with your voice, or send the written poem to me and I’ll create a video with the words.

Thank you Marlene for sharing this poem. It was originally recorded for a Spirited Talk Short Edition.

Simply put, your concept of yourself is everything that you believe to be true. And everything that you believe to be true about yourself has landed you precisely where you live and breathe every day of your life. Your beliefs about yourself are like the ingredients in a recipe that you use to create your self-concept. Those ingredients or beliefs fall into two categories: your order self-concept and your inner self-concept.

YOUR TIME

Sit or lie comfortably. Close your eyes and breathe normally. Observe which part extends as you breathe in, your chest or your belly?

Now, place your hand over your belly and try to extend it as you breathe in, as if filling a balloon with air.
Observe how your breaths begin to feel deeper and longer.

Choosing to breathe through your diaphragm or belly a few times each day can help you relax and connected to yourself.
