Spirit Insights

TRUST ME, I’M A MEDIUM

THE PREAMBLE

This is the twelfth of the seventh series of Lanzarote Sessions, transcribed during a break to the Canary Islands in September 2024. During our frequent visits, I sit in the power of spirit at least once every day and allow the spirit connect to share a message with me.

|| This summary written on 24th January 2025

These days, I don’t have any student groups in my home. However, I do believe that I am continuing to encourage and coax like-minded students through this online website.

My desire to help others on this wondrous life path remains with me. One approach I take to my work is to see others learning as if I were wearing their shoes. I know how difficult it was learning from my tutors and how hard it must have been for them, too. Sometimes, I must have appeared like a know-it-all. That was often because what they were teaching me made no sense to me then. So rather than allowing them to keep repeating the same stuff repeatedly, which wasn’t helping me, I’d act as if I understood it, hoping that the teacher would move on.

The topic of the following session has been raised many times and will, no doubt, continue to be spoken about in the future. That comes with a unique advantage for us as students. Every speaker has their way of discussing it. Outside of transcribing these sessions, I know where some of my closer readers struggle with their mediumship. I receive their emails and comments and can deduce from their words that they need help. The most common issue is their trust in the connection with the spirit communicator.

I suspect the speakers in spirit are aware of those needs, probably gathering the insights from the thoughts in my subconscious mind. So, I welcome their interaction on such topics. The topic of trust, the choice of this session, is one of the most challenging aspects of mediumship to teach. It’s very much based on the student’s ability to hear, absorb, and practice. Over time, the student will unfold alarmingly once that deep trust is established.

In an ideal world, I would suggest every student has a separate notebook titled “TRUST” where words, such as these from this speaker could be kept and referred to often.  Of course, an alternative to that would be to download the PDF version of this page (print, email & pdf links at the end of this page).

There are unintended similarities in the feature image above and a specific tarot card in the deck. I wonder if you can tell which one? The official meaning of the said tarot card isn’t quite related to this topic. Or is it?

THE SPIRIT INSIGHT

transcribed on Thursday, 26th September 2024 at 4:00 pm

Thank you for the opening prayer. It rang out loud and clear. I’m glad you’ve brought that back to your practice. It will make a difference, and if nothing else, sets your intent with positive energy.

I hear you’ve been busy writing our words since coming to this beautiful island. A lot of messages based around the theme of trust. Such a simple word – 5 letters, and yet so deep and difficult to truly digest.

Your trust is high, I think you know that. And so are most mediums who have learnt the fundamentals correctly. If you think about it, it would be a poor medium that declared a lack of trust in their connection with us.

There is a difference between trusting and not being aware of their connection to us. Many mediums will proudly admit they trust that the spirit connection is there for them. Whether those mediums sense the connection is a different matter and has nothing to do with trust.

When you put one foot in front of another, you trust the ground is solid enough to take your physical weight. You don’t hesitate and check every step is secure. You just walk with an inbuilt trust you have established through life’s experiences. That is the sort of complete trust we are talking about with your mediumship.

Of course, to make those steps work every time, you know instinctively the ground is solid. It’s the same with mediumship. The groundwork has to come first.

You have discovered that you don’t need to sit in silence for too long before commencing with working our words. That is so, because you have established the groundwork. Combined with your undeniable trust in us, together we have a communication process that works well.

It is with your mental mediumship, as you call it, that both the groundwork and the trust still have room for improvement. But I’m not setting you aside from anyone else. All mediums that I have ever connected with, learned and studied with, spent time around, each of them has displayed evidence for them to work on both their groundwork and their trust.

You might consider that the elements I’m talking about, these minute differences are what define good mediums from great mediums.

Just to put your active mind at rest, no. You are not yet a great medium in terms of being one of the greatest. But you are a good medium and are growing your groundwork and trust in the right direction.

As you say, it’s work in progress. And what does progress tell you? Motion. Movement.

You have written my words with excellence this time. It has been an honour for me.
You go and enjoy the rest of your day with our lessons close to the front of your mind.

God be with you.

MY AFTERTHOUGHTS

written at the time of this presentation

  • Whenever I asked students to stand and connect to their spirit world, I would insist that they talk non-stop in the hope it would stop their mind from getting involved in the message. Even in all the nonsense they might speak, there would be evidence of a spirit communicator trying to work through them.
  • The topic of trust is always welcome from my speakers in spirit. It is the one aspect of mediumship that welds the communication together.
  • Work in progress, the speaker describes me. But remember that progress suggests movement, and that requires action.

REBRANDING FOR 2025

The series of WFSIW has been rebranded to Spirit Insights. A few minor tweaks have been added to the new design for a cleaner look.

The actual sessions remain the same and they will all be indexed together as one collection

How Writing Is Achieved

During a session of sitting in the power, Trevor opens his notebook and transcribes the words he hears in his mind as a speaking voice. The transcription is exactly as it is heard.

Only a few words are heard at a time, giving Trevor time to transcribe them. Trevor never knows ahead what the topic of the communication will be.

The process is known as automatic or inspired writing, determined by the depth of the connection.

RECENT

The words are heard as a voice in my mind and written exactly as heard. However, occasionally the translation from voice to words contains grammatical faults. Where these effect the structure and meaning, during the process of converting the notes to this digital form, minor adjustments may be made.

"As a medium, I help connect the living with friends and family members who have passed. I prove to them that the person have been missing so badly is not really dead - they're just different."

Matt Fraser - "We Never Die: Secrets Of The Afterlife"

ABOUT TREV'S AFTERTHOUGHTS

The WFSIW sessions are usually published some time after being transcribed. This allows Trevor to read the transcription from a fresh perspective and the ability to critique better.

2025 CHANGES

As of January 2025, the original WFSIW page design has been updated, and every session added after that date uses this new format.

The series is initially only available in full to the Spirited Talk Envoys, who are paying subscribers. After six weeks, the page is made available to everyone.
