I’ve come to realise, no expect, the sessions written in Lanzarote to be akin to a lesson for personal growth. Here’s the thing, if I’m really writing these sessions with my own mind, how do we account for times when I learn something new from the lesson?
Take today’s second session from this sixth series. If someone had asked me to explain what the word betterment meant, I might have been able to give a basic meaning. But could I have, for example, stood in front of an audience and spoken philosophically on the topic. I think, to know the true meaning of a word, we have to give it dimensions, depth and context. In the same way we understand words such as philosophy.
As spiritualists or spiritists, we tend to dilute and contain the meaning of a philosophical address. Often we believe, so long as we spend a few minutes talking about something vaguely related to the topic of spiritualism, we are therefore talking philosophical. That is the dilution in practice that I just mentioned. The meaning of the word philosophy has not been fully expressed. Sharing an apt poem, or reading an excerpt from a book for an audience is barely going to raise any depth of philosophy.
My belief is that to really appreciate the beauty of a word, such as philosophy, or in today’s case, betterment, we need to understand more than just the basic concept of the word. Apart from needing to know the actual dictionary definition, we need to understand and appreciate the cause and desires, the wholeness of the meaning.
Today’s speaker uses the word betterment in such ways as I’ve just outlined. The speaker gives the word betterment a meaningful depth, and even colour. I speak for myself now, but sometimes making changes to my spiritual direction is not as easy as one might think. This is where, in my opinion, if I, and others, could spend more time understanding the depth of what is required of us, the process becomes easier to approach. There you go – some deep philosophy to start this exciting second session.

I used to wonder what gender my speakers were. Nowadays, that has lost any importance. It’s a bit like wondering what the colour of a freshly delivered envelope is when the postman comes. It’s not of any importance. It’s the message inside the envelope that matters.
THE WFSIW SESSION
Good day. The biggest mystery to mankind on earth should not be whether there is a life after earthly death occurs, but how best to utilise the life that is the here and now - on the planet as a physical form.
Its as if some people rest on the false belief that there is no afterlife, and therefore why not just enjoy the life we have. Then there are others that think they know of an afterlife and spend too much time-wasting trying to find out more about it, instead of focusing on improvements to the life they have at that time.
Even you, dear sir, often expect those that communicate with you to reveal more about this life you call the afterlife, instead of asking what you could be doing to make your current life of greater value.
Whenever any of us speakers reveal something more about this life to you, you go away and debate whether it can be so. Those foibles show weaknesses in your structure and form. Yes I picked my words carefully there. Let me explain.
On your side of life, you see everything with structure and form as objects. Your body is an object. You just don't think of it that way. But that structure and form is not just physical. Your spirit and soul have structure and form too.
The structure comes from the ingredients it is made up of. For example, your collective emotional states and how you have used them, all create the structure and therefore the form of your spirit and soul. Your actions in the physical form effect your structure and form in the etheric world you will one day arrive.
A word my colleagues and friends here have used on more than one occasion with you is 'Betterment'. Think how you perceive that word for one moment.
Betterment is a wide meaning word that refers to your collective structure and form in whatever
life form you exist. This, and this alone, should be your only concern, your only focus. Every moment and every breath you take should be in pursuit of that betterment - that forms your structure, who you really are and where you are going.
The human belief that life is eternal is held by a few. Sadly, most of those few believe that an eternal life means nothing more than continuing the life they led on earth over here too. What purpose would that have? Yes life as the meaning of the word suggests is indeed eternal. But progression is the force that it requires.
Nobody lives here in one state of being forever. In terms of time compared with your time structure, it may appear like forever. It is not.
What is ahead for you, and me for that matter, is greater, richer and more meaningful than basic living, a basic life. Each of us will progress through our betterment and acceptance of the reality that we are individuals forever. We will become the collective and become part of that eternal force called life.
Betterment brings with it an understanding of our meaning and our part in the infinite and eternal presence. Waste no time using your current form life in seeking answers you could never understand anyway. Instead, use every moment for your betterment, your future as part of that infinite consciousness.
I don't know what lies ahead for me. I just know it is important I do what I can to prepare, through betterment, to become part of the greatest force of al l- the Divine force, you might say.
I've said my piece for you and those that read these words. Perhaps it was time you had a reality check, because your life at present is not living in reality.

I’m aware that I might start sounding cliched with my afterthoughts, particularly when I sense the power and depth within the sessions. But, with the risk of repeating previous comments, what another powerful talk from this speaker in spirit. Again, I feel it deserves this high spirit-inspired graphic.
I can’t help but get excited when I transfer these sessions for us all to appreciate publicly. Some people might suggest that learning from the spirit world in a one-on-one situation, such as with this inspired writing, is not possible. I beg to differ!
I wonder how many people will some day read these sessions on the internet and truly appreciate the wonder of the spirit. Today’s session took around 30 minutes to originally transcribe, yet has meaning that really is timeless.
Perhaps an exercise might be to make a copy of this session, by writing it in your journal, and heading the page as ‘BETTERMENT – LESSON 1″
