GUIDE NAMES IRRELEVANT

PREAMBLE

|| This summary originally written on 19th November 2023

Forgive me for a moment or two, I’m about to play the old EKW card for this one! You know the one, Experience, Knowledge, Wisdom.

I really don’t get it. What is so hard in those from the spirit world that are spending time working with us, at least telling us a name? Over my years studying this, I’ve heard so many lame reasons for this. The most common given by the spirit world is the somewhat patronising one, “You don’t need to know right now. It’s not important. Focus on the message, not the speaker’s name.

Give me strength!

I know this is not just something that the spirit people choose to do with me. Throughout time, mediums have had to often settle with not knowing the names of their guides, occasionally unaware of whether they actually have such helpers. Silver Birch, possibly the most well known speaker from the other side, was not actually called that name. That was a name chosen by the sitters. They felt that Silver Birch’s real name was a bit too distracting.

This is one example of issues with guide names. You can read about how the chosen name came about in this article **HERE** (will open as a pdf originally written by spiritualist historian, Paul Gaunt)

I do know the name of one of my guides, though, even that changed after a few years. So I still can’t be sure that SAKI is really called that. But it serves to satisfy my curiosity for now!

In today’s session with the pen, the speaker chooses this topic and offers a vague reason for the absence of this detail and why we don’t need to know. Personally, I’m no longer hung up on this issue, and haven’t been for a number of years. So I suspect that the message is aimed at one of the readers instead.

POST SCRIPT
  • During this third Lanzarote sessions, I have been told the name of the speaker on two occasions. The first, I found evidence of his life on earth and included it in the notes. The second, was from a mentor of mine that is now in spirit, Joan Dunbar. You can read these sessions in the archives of this series.
  • I remain unconvinced by any of the reasons suggested for us as mediums not needing to know the names of our guides. Perhaps this is an area of my development that needs work. The strange thing is though, we are advised to build relationships with our guides. Surely a starting point would be knowing who they are!

THE WFSIW SESSION

Session transcribed on Tuesday 3rd October 2023 at 18:15 pm

I appreciate how you test the validity of our connection before you begin this task of writing. This is a good habit that you've created. Everyone should learn to test their connection with us every time. Also check that the connected person this side is good and right to speak to you.

I know you always commence your session with the Lord's Prayer and words to us about your expectations. This is a good practice, and one that should ensure the quality of your reporting from this side.

I have been told that you're in quite a warm climate at this time. Make the most of it, for I believe your winter will soon be upon you, and warm days like this one, will be a distant memory.

You have often enquired as to how many guides you have working with you, and what might their names have been. I believe every medium asks the same questions at some point.

Sometimes the medium is told a name and a little description to satisfy their inquisitor's mind. The name, or the description might not actually be accurate. But it unblocks the medium's mind and allows the communication flow to progress unhindered.

I could tell you one or two of your guides details, but then I've created a quandary for you, haven't I? Would you believe my details, or had I made them up to satisfy your desires to know? I may be joking with you here, but I do so with the best intent. You see, if you are meant to know your guide's names, you will be told, when it is appropriate.

If you've not been told, doesn't mean you're any less of a medium. It just means there is no valid enough reason for you to know at this point of your journey.

I will tell you for sure, however, that contrary to some people's beliefs on earth, none of your main influencers this side are close family members. It takes a great deal of wisdom and know to become a guide. It is a role that the guides earn and enjoy doing. Few relatives or friends of anyone would have their levels of loyalty and devotion.

I believe this writing session is the last of this Lanzarote holiday. I know that those of us that have spoken to you have enjoyed the experience. You have become freer in mind, and the words we speak seem to be written by you pretty much as we say them to you.

I know also that you had a treat with one of the guests recently. She is a very happy lady and will try to work with you more soon.

Ok, please enjoy your last day there. From all of us, for you.

Godspeed and goodbye.

Guide Names Not Important

MY AFTERTHOUGHTS

written on 30th November 2023
57 days after the session was transcribed

Quite a revelation by the speaker, suggesting that our past family and friends aren’t normally involved in our unfoldment. I’d always suspected that to be the case. I am going to award this quite highly as spirit inspired. Reason – if I’d have written from my own mind, I’d have wanted more meat on the bone!

🔷 Although I don’t understand why people in spirit can’t just tell us their names, I’m no longer hung up on it. So, as I stated above, I believe this message must be aimed at someone else, rather than me personally.

🔷 I had a suspicion that our friends and relatives in the spirit world don’t actually guide us through life. Yes they are there and often pass us their opinions and advice, but actual spiritual growth is left to others that know what they’re talking about, so to speak.

🔷 Yes, this is the last of this Lanzarote Series 3. I’m proud of my discipline for sitting every day, even when there were other things I could have been doing. It’s been a good series I believe. I’ve learnt much and hopefully shared much with you too. The fourth series begins very soon!

“ If you've not been told, doesn't mean you're any less of a medium. It just means there is no valid enough reason for you to know at this point of your journey. “

How Writing Is Achieved

During a session of sitting in the power, Trevor opens his notebook and transcribes the words he hears in his mind as a speaking voice. The transcription is exactly as it is heard.

Only a few words are heard at a time, giving Trevor time to transcribe them. Trevor never knows ahead what the topic of the communication will be.

The process is known as automatic or inspired writing, determined by the depth of the connection.

"As a medium, I help connect the living with friends and family members who have passed. I prove to them that the person have been missing so badly is not really dead - they're just different."

Matt Fraser - "We Never Die: Secrets Of The Afterlife"

ABOUT TREV'S AFTERTHOUGHTS

The WFSIW sessions are usually published sometime after being transcribed. This allows Trevor to read the transcription from a fresh perspective and ability to critique better.

RECENT WFSIW ADDITIONS

The words are heard as a voice in my mind and written exactly as heard. However, occasionally the translation from voice to words contains grammatical faults. Where these effect the structure and meaning, during the process of converting the notes to this digital form, minor adjustments may be made.
