- The Lanzarote Sessions
This is the fifteenth session of the ninth series of Lanzarote Sessions, transcribed during a break to the Canary Islands in March 2025. During our frequent visits, I sit in the power of the spirit at least once daily and allow the spirit-connect to share a message with me.

Do you ever find yourself wishing the world could be a little more peaceful? Whenever a social gathering occurs it doesn’t take long for the conversation to turn to the world crisis we appear to be suffering.
Whenever Jane and myself meet with our closest friends for our regular meal out, it doesn’t take long for the ‘updating’ to take the conversation. The state of the climate, the rediculous actions of Putin, the latest Trump escapades, Gaza war crimes, greedy junior doctors, celebrity downfalls, boat people invasions, and so on! It’s a guaranteed set of topics to raise the vocal animations and the display of facial disgusts! Thankfully, our topic of conversation usually moves onto something more mundane, such as how far each of us have got through the incredible series of ‘Blacklist’ on Prime.
Everyone of us have to live with these worldwide issues, some in worse conditions than us in our comfortable, though troubled, UK. Even behind the relative safety of our front door we face issues we need to deal with. The noisy neighbours, the rip-off tradesman, the energy costs, the MOT work suddenly needing funding, and even the state of our weather.
I’ve said so many times that being a sensitive has its ups and downs. I’m aware that some of my readers might read about the downs in my posts occasionally, and reach the conclusion that I’m a grumpy ole’ git. That, as it happens, is not who I am on the whole. I’m more positive in my outlook than most and my glass is always half full. I may find myself down and in crisis occasionally, but my personality alone will lift me out given time. I face my conflicts by voicing them and then dealing with them in whatever way I can.
I often hear people wishing that this world and their lives had less conflict, wars, famine, high costs, murders and so on. Even I’ve given oxygen to the thought of how much better life would be without these negative things affecting us. The speaker in this session puts pay to that notion and explains why.
- POSTSCRIPT
Since I’ve spent less time reading others social media crap, I’ve noticed a vast difference in my peace. The key to inner peace is strengthening what is allowed through the door of the mind.
THE SPIRIT INSIGHT
transcribed on Wednesday, 19th March 2025, at 4:00 pm
I want to talk to you about conflict. Surprisingly, its a necessary part of life on earth. Everything has to face conflict. The vine that conflicts with the tree by using it and eventually taking it over. The weeds that conflict with nearby plants. The insects and bugs in constant conflict. Even the bacteria in your body is in constant conflict.
So it’s no real surprise that animals and humans live in a state where conflict is often necessary. The person that suggests a world without conflict would be better is being short-sighted. It’s essential, often to keep the equilibrium. Black and white conflict, one radiating the light, the other absorbing it.
Nobody or nothing can escape conflict. A world without it would be sterile, lifeless, a baron place where nothing could survive.
The order of everything’s creation is atoms fighting off other atoms until the superior wins. In that sense, conflict is often essential to create the order, and as we know, the strongest and the greatest often wins.
There is much conflict in your world at this time. An order is being created and the strongest will prevail. This is evolution in progress. You cannot stop evolution and why would anyone want to. Look how man has evolved to conquer its land. Look how other life, where conflict has been less, has failed to evolve further. The alligator and crocodile, outside of humans, has few enemies. Its life is safe and without conflict on itself. Now look how little it has evolved.
The wars and conflicts in your world are part of the progress of mankind. From the conflict will shoot new rules, better understanding, more peace and a greater understanding of life itself.
Wars aren’t nice, nor something to welcome. But they happen through the process of conflict, and the greater good will always win.
I hope my ideas on conflict have opened your mind a little more. Understanding that conflict is essential, will help you appreciate that life is always evolving, through conflict, through education, and ironically, through love.
To love you must understand hate. That negative emotion that thrives in your world. Love well win some day. But wars, conflict, and discord will always exist. That’s how it is, how it always was, and how it will always be.
Thank you for listening so efficiently.
Goodbye to you.
MY AFTERTHOUGHTS
written at the time of this presentation
🔷 I’ve given this session a high star rating. I judged that the topic and how the explanation was presented was neither a topic I would choose, nor the answer I would have been able to come up with in that moment of thinking time before I transcribed the first words. The speaker chose small and large conflicts, almost in the same sentences to make the point. Again, this session read aloud sounds like a natural conversation, rather than a transcribed essay.
🔷 This speaker appears to be suggesting that the vision of living in a world with no conflcts is an unreasonable desire and never likely to come to be. Near the end, the speaker suggests that the greater good will always be the result of conflicts. I wonder if he/she is referring to a spiritual greater good or a generalised worldly greater good. Perhaps both?
🔷 The most thought-provoking segment within this session starts with a reference ‘To love you must understand hate.‘ Those few words represent the foundations of what love is. I didn’t get that at first read today, but the words stopped me to give thought to the deeper understanding. In life, it appears more obvious than we might at first realise. The outpouring of love, after a terrible crisis, is all too present to witness. Could it therefore be not suggested that the crisis increased the love?
“To love you must understand hate.”

One Response
Very deep and thought provoking. I pray for Peace on earth and to let it begin with me, I have just read that I am being short sighted which makes me question my thoughts now, I realise about there needing to be conflict for evolution to survive and I still feel the need to try best I can to feel peaceful myself. I will think more deeply about the Wars/Conflict/Love and Hate. Thank you Trevor and your very knowledgeable Sprit Friend.
