Spirit Insights

THE BEST MEDICINE

THE PREAMBLE

This is the ninth of the seventh series of Lanzarote Sessions, transcribed during a break to the Canary Islands in September 2024. During our frequent visits, I sit in the power of spirit at least once every day and allow the spirit connect to share a message with me.

|| This summary written on 14th January 2025

One of the most common ways that we can recognise spirit are working with us is through synchronicity. I wouldn’t suggest that every event that appears to synchronise is the work of the spirit world. However, sometimes it’s so apparent that it can’t just be coincidence.

A dictionary describes synchronicity as, “The simultaneous occurrence of events which appear significantly related but have no discernible causal connection.” That definition suggests that such events are mere coincidences and, for the greater part is an accurate assumption. However, the relationship between the two events can be more than coincidental. The logic of the dictionary doesn’t allow for universal forces, such as those used by the spirit world.

What I’ve discovered from my own experiences is that as my unfoldment and development have improved my mediumship abilities over time, my ability to analyse and reject some synchronising events as nothing more than coincidences has become more realistic. The white feather appearing on the doorstep isn’t always a message from a spirit. The time 11:11 on the clock face, when I look at it, doesn’t mean some profound, deeper message other than it is eleven minutes past eleven!

However, as mediums, we should already know that the people in spirit use whatever methods they can to communicate with us, and language is often the last resort. For a synchronised event arranged by the spirit world to work, we must first recognise it, and accept it without question.

In today’s session, the speaker talks about humour and how important it is in our life. In the middle of the session, the speaker suggests something that, I can only describe as, beyond belief. You’ll read what I mean in the afterthoughts.

When we fully embrace the understanding that the spirit world will communicate with us in whatever ways they can, the two worlds become that little bit closer. Of course, we need to remain logical with our approach, but also more accepting of synchronising events when the timing is beyond coincidence.

THE SPIRIT INSIGHT

transcribed on Tuesday 24th September 2024 at 1:30 am

Hearing you write your diary a few minutes ago about the weather brought that song “Bring Me Sunshine” to my mind. I always believed that laughter was the best medicine. You cannot laugh without it affecting how you feel.

Humour is a wonderful gift to us all, don’t you think? What a dull life it would be without music and laughter in it. When I was that life there, I loved comics well into my adult life. I used to buy them occasionally, just to read my favourite characters’ latest adventures.

I know you have a good sense of humour too. Perhaps you might like to encourage some back when times seem hard. Life is too serious to be serious all the time.
I know we all love laughter here. We have some of the old great comedians here that lay on do’s that we can attend. You would not believe what a tonic it is to see hundreds of dead people enjoying themselves! Yes, we do sometimes refer to ourselves as ‘dead! We can see the funny side of that!

Another of your great comics will be passing here soon and no disrespect intended, but I cannot wait to see if he continues to perform for us. Yes the name in your mind is who I’m referring to, but do be careful not to print his name. That would be funny if he
got to read his name in your works without not as yet passed! I suppose that’s not so funny for you, but for us that would be!

Those of us here that occasionally visit other mediums have to tone our humour down. We’re expected to be serious, though we’d rather not be, if you don’t mind.

I do wish some people on earth would lighten up a bit. There’s more in life to laugh about than there is to live too serious a life. Learn to love with laughter. Humour can heal your heart and your soul. So use humour to get you through tough moments.

The language of humour crosses all borders and doesn’t work well within boundaries.

I’ve got to let you go now. Your mind is too fragile right now. Rest up and look at the bright signs you’ll see throughout your days.

Tata.

MY AFTERTHOUGHTS

written at the time of this presentation

  • There are at least two samples of synchronicity at play in this session. The first is in the general topic of discussion. I’m having a tough month, as I know one or two other readers are. So the topic chosen is perfectly timed for us. In the struggle of day-to-day life, we tend not to have time for humour. Yet it’s the best medicine to help us through
  • The second synchronising event is when the speaker mentions, “Another of your great comics will be passing here soon …” Just as I started this presentation, I heard the news that the UK comedian Tony Slattery had just passed to Spirit. Coincidence or synchronicity? That also suggests that the speaker, in spirit, knew when this session would be printed. Now that is revealing!
  • And the speaker is also correct with the main body of his subject, humour. We all need to laugh a little more. The energy of humour is positive and one of the best energies we can work with. I used always to start my presentations with a joke, to lighten the energy in the room. We can sometimes be too serious.

You would not believe what a tonic it is to see hundreds of dead people enjoying themselves! Yes, we do sometimes refer to ourselves as ‘dead! We can see the funny side of that!”

REBRANDING FOR 2025

The series of WFSIW has been rebranded to Spirit Insights. A few minor tweaks have been added to the new design for a cleaner look.

The actual sessions remain the same and they will all be indexed together as one collection

How Writing Is Achieved

During a session of sitting in the power, Trevor opens his notebook and transcribes the words he hears in his mind as a speaking voice. The transcription is exactly as it is heard.

Only a few words are heard at a time, giving Trevor time to transcribe them. Trevor never knows ahead what the topic of the communication will be.

The process is known as automatic or inspired writing, determined by the depth of the connection.

RECENT

The words are heard as a voice in my mind and written exactly as heard. However, occasionally the translation from voice to words contains grammatical faults. Where these effect the structure and meaning, during the process of converting the notes to this digital form, minor adjustments may be made.

"When I die I like the idea of my atoms leaving my body and dancing around the world looking for somewhere else and somebody else to live in."

The Archers, BBC Radio 4 2017

ABOUT TREV'S AFTERTHOUGHTS

The Spirit Insights sessions are usually published some time after being transcribed. This allows Trevor to read the transcription from a fresh perspective and have the ability to critique better.

2025 CHANGES

As of January 2025, the original WFSIW page design has been updated, and every session added after that date uses this new format.

The series is initially only available in full to the Spirited Talk Envoys, who are paying subscribers. After two months, the page is made available to everyone.
