Updates for End July 2024

We’ve been enjoying some rare dry weather in the north over the past few days. The main project I’ve been active with over the past few weeks is with Jane’s greenhouse. Thursday 1st August is when we have a 4 metre worktop delivered. I will be fitting this onto the new carcases I’ve built for the greenhouse. Thereafter, Jane can organise all her greenhouse stuff into boxes and storage containers. Some of it is currently being stored temporarily in the reception area of my Sanctuary. It’ll be nice to get it all back to normal!

Over the coming weeks we have two new sheds being delivered. One is to go near Jane’s greenhouse and will be used to store pots and the like. That is coming flat-pack, so a job for me. I’ve to get the jet-wash back out soon again. Lots of the bigger pots need a cleaning and our back path will be done at the same time.

♥ WEBSITE UPDATES

    • Two new collections of WFSIW (The Lanzarote Sessions – Series 3 & 5) have been added to the website with their own index pages. You can find these tucked under the Spirit Inspired Writing link on the top menu.
    • There are now over 175 pages on the website in total. I estimate that by the time all my work is imported, there’ll be close to 500 pages.
    • The website received just 47 visits in the previous 28 days bringing the total number of visits since the website was launched to 215. Absolute dire!  According to social media results, I’d be better of singing a song to get attention!
    • There are still 25 sessions from the sixth series of The Lanzarote Sessions to be added to the website. I hope to start that very soon particularly since we’re returning to Lanzarote again in September.

♥ DONATIONS & SPONSORS

A prompt for donations has been added to most indexing pages in the hope of raising some needed funds for the website. So far, there have been none. I have also created a sponsors page (can be found under the Home link on the top menu. Perhaps a few mediums might notice the opportunity to sponsor this website and advertise their own services.

♥ QUOTES

A new addition to the website is the quotes section visible in most right side columns. So far, I’ve added around 100 from my journals and will be continuing to add to the collection. When a visitor refreshes a page, or visits another section, the quotes are refreshed and a new one will show. This bit of coding has a lot of potential for future use for other things, such as famous spiritualist. I’m working on it!

That is enough for this update. There are other bits and pieces that have been added, amended, redesigned and so on throughout the website. I’m sincerly hoping the website gets more interest soon as my motivation is dwindling!

"For his television series The Enemies of Reason, the well-known debunker and atheist Professor Richard Dawkins interviewed Nicholas Humphrey, Professor of Psychology at the London School of Economics. Humphrey – also an atheist – stated that, even when using traditional medicine, most of the cure is usually from within the patient’s own body. He went on to say that, for some patients, alternative medicine can be more effective than traditional treatment and that, therefore, people should not be dissuaded from seeing a healer."
