- The Lanzarote Sessions
This is the fifth session of the ninth series of Lanzarote Sessions, transcribed during a break to the Canary Islands in March 2025. During our frequent visits, I sit in the power of the spirit at least once daily and allow the spirit-connect to share a message with me.
|| This summary written on 27th June 2025 | 109 days after session
The headline good news is that your future success in mediumship is entirely in your control. Unfortunately there is also some bad news. Your future in mediumship is entirely in your control.
Mediumship should not be a career choice. It’s a pursuit we do in our spare time, like other hobbies and pastimes we might have. I, for example, enjoy writing, photography, videography, diy, reading, and gardening. I’ve reached a level of competence that I’m satisfied with, except with the mediumship! This pursuit sets itself aside from other pursuits because it involves a life-long commitment of improvement and self-discovery.
The thing with our pursuits is that they aren’t part of the clocking-in system. We don’t have people monitoring them for our performance levels. The food on our tables isn’t dependant on how good we are at our pastimes. What is often lacking is discipline. It is up to us as individuals to work on our competence levels. We should be disciplined to want to get better at what it is we spend our time doing, be it gardening, mediumship, or any other pursuits.
It is us, and us alone, that sets our standards. It is us that puts in the effort, the commitment, and the desire to be better every day. But are we acting like a strict boss would regarding our performance? Are we aware of where we need to improve with our pursuits? In some people’s cases, are we even bothered? Wouldn’t it be nice to have some inside advice once in a while?
The speaker in this session offers exactly that! Advice to help us improve, not just as individuals, as spiritual people, but as mediums also. Before you read on, why don’t you make a decision as to which camp you’re in. Go back and re-read the opening bold paragraph above. Read it and dismiss any of your excuses and decide which you want to follow – the good news, or the bad news!
- POSTSCRIPT
So much of our mediumship ability is determined, not by techniques, not by fancy how-tos, not by instructions, but by personal commitment and having a strong desire backed up with trust in the power of the universal forces.
THE SPIRIT INSIGHT
transcribed on Saturday, 8th March 2025, at 4:00 pm
Hello. The greatest power in all the world is the power that lays within you. A power so complete that, when harnessed, can change more than just the body that holds it. A power that can reach every corner of the universe, that can touch anything and all.
What is this power? It’s the power that drives your very life. You refer to it as your spirit. Indeed that is a good title for it. But have you realised its power? Have you learned to understand it and harness all that it gives?
You see, it has always been part of who you are, your driving force, your guide and your backbone. The power it contains lies dormant, waiting to be called upon, to serve you and help in achieving far more than you could ever imagine.
This power, your spirit, already delivers you the power of hope, of desire, of potential, and of trust. It’s there when you need to overcome a fear, or step off the comfort of your path and explore the wilderness of the unknown.
The power of your spirit is loyal and unquestioning. You rely on it without thought, without hesitation, and for your every whim. But it holds the power to everything, dormant and [largely] unawakened.
I hear you ask, how can it serve me better than it is doing? How can I embrace the unknown and free the power of the spirit within?
Again, the answers lie with your spirit. Ask it. Listen to its answer, follow its guidelines. Learn to run with instinct and without logic. Learn to stretch your potential more and more each day. Take time to sit with your spirit, in the power it provides. Work on strengthening that relationship.
Ask “What can I do better? Show me the way forward and let me feel your power“.
Don’t settle for “I am, therefore I am“. Instead work for,” I am and I will be“. Just saying those words should help you realise the power your spirit offers. Feel it now.” I will be….”
There is nothing you cannot undertake. Everything of the unknown, awaits [within] the power of your spirit to move it from a dream, a vision, a wish, into a real presence.
Your spirit and the untapped power it contains needs nothing more than your desires and your actions. It will be, because you will make it happen with the greatest and most powerful source of power and energy. That is, your spirit.
Learn to navigate through life, rather than drifting through it. Learn to live the ” It will be” life, because you will make it happen.
Your spirit and the untapped power within it are waiting. Now is the time.
Thank you for writing my words so elegantly. Have a great day and an even better tomorrow.

MY AFTERTHOUGHTS
written at the time of this presentation
🔷 This speaker’s message worked for me and, at the end of the day, that was what it was intended to do. But I strongly believe it can work for all of us too. Of course, there is always going to be the individual that starts every sentence with “Yes but…” There are always going to be individuals that come under the heading, “happy discontent”. If you’re like me though, and want to improve your mediumship abilities, the speaker’s message is probably one of the most important things we could be told.
🔷 The most powerful words ever shared with me, and thousands of other students, were those of the late Glyn Edwards, “My boy, you have such great potential“. He wasn’t picking me out from the group specifically. In fact, I got a little jealous when he said the same to another student shortly after! His words have stuck with me throughout my apprenticeship. You and I have such great potential. How do we tap into it? Read this speaker’s message again and again, until you fully understand their words.
🔷 I’m reminded of the differences between inspiration and motivation. The latter is something only we can do. Only us as individuals can produce the motivation (motive for action). Nobody else, just us. But we can be inspired by someone else first. This speaker in this session has succeeded in inspiring me and giving me the motive for action. How about you?
“Your spirit and the untapped power it contains needs nothing more than
your desires and your actions. It will be, because you will make it happen with the greatest and most powerful source of power and energy. That is, your spirit.”
THIS SESSION WILL BE RELEASED TO THE MAIN WEBSITE AFTER 27th AUGUST 2025

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this message, Trevor. The words are a powerful reminder that our spiritual energy will enable us to achieve anything we truly desire but at the end of the day it’s down to us to live in and trust that power. “I will be” should start our every day and our actions throughout the day should concentrate on achieving that goal. Of course, any goals should follow common practice. They should have measurable , achievable objectives so we know if or when we have achieved them. Setting impossible targets is a waste of time and very soon the lack of success in achieving them will leave us disappointed and demotivated. Therefore, our statement of intent should be ” I will be, provided I do the following……”.
Thanks for your efforts, Trevor.
Thank you for your thoughts Bill. I agree about setting achievable goals or todos. I do, however, always have at least one thing on my working list that stretches me beyond my comfort zone. Because my lists are digital, I roll the incomplete tasks forward and they only get removed when they are done. Eventually, I get fed up of viewing the ones I haven’t pushed myself to complete and set about achieving them. It always gives me a ‘rush’ when I do them!
I agree with your final addition (…providing I do the following…). We have so much untapped potential waiting for us to unyeald (is that a word?) on the world.
