THE PREAMBLE

This is the third session of the ninth series of Lanzarote Sessions, transcribed during a break to the Canary Islands in March 2025. During our frequent visits, I sit in the power of the spirit at least once daily and allow the spirit-connect to share a message with me.

|| This summary written on 23rd June 2025 | 108 days after session

I watched a medium online, conducting a service that was recorded for a wider audience than the few in the church at the time. I was slightly more impressed than normal when the medium chose to give the philosophical speech, for the bigger part, without notes. I was delighted to experience the medium’s passion, a breathe of fresh air and a sign of their continuing unfoldment.

I know I’ve shared this before. When I use to attend Christchurch Spiritualist Centre, back in the noughties, I always had with me, a notebook and pen, to take brief notes of the philosophy shared by the guest mediums. Okay, some were dull and lazily presented. Other’s, however, were spoken from the heart, with meaning and emotion. Those speeches meant so much, especially if the words resonated with me.

My mentor, at that time, Mrs Joan Dunbar, was a stickler for teaching good foundations with her students. The importance of philosophy was hammered into us and many circle meetings included exercises where we were individually asked to stand in front of the group and give an address on a chosen word that she gave us. Joan wasn’t really wanting to see wall-to-wall outstanding speeches from us. Instead, she was trying to bright out our passion about her chosen topic. Passion drives away nerves.

The photo above shows a framed collection of ship’s anchor badges. It was on the wall in a terrace room at the apartment we were staying at. Anchors mean a lot to me. It was the symbol my own father used as evidence of his continuation of life. Ever since his revelation to me, I have considered the anchor as the most important symbol to me. But consider, for a moment, what the role is of an anchor. To steady a ship on the seas.

That is how I see the philosophical address in our work as mediums. The anchor of our work and as important as the mediumship itself. Fact is, a philosophical address delivered from the heart acts to unblock the energies and strenghten our connection with the spirit world. So, I ask myself, why are so few of today’s mediums not embracing this tool? Why are so many mediums happy to declare openly that they ‘don’t do philosophy’? Where is there passion for their work with spirit, if not contained within their philosophy?

The speaker in the following session was obviously an advocate for philosphical speaking. Read, enjoy, and learn from it.

At the time of producing this presentation, I cannot recall transcribing this session. So reading it back today has filled me with excitement for my work with spirit.

THE SPIRIT INSIGHT

transcribed on Friday, 7th March 2025, at 4:00 pm

The Chrysalis: From which the life emerges. The seamless seed from which a new plant spouts.

Have you given thought to how much can come from one tiny element. Mighty oaks from seeds that will grow into giant trees and shed thousands of acorns containing all the instructions needed to reproduce a perfect copy of its mother.

What about you? Where did this life you have now originate? Two tiny extracts come together to form the basis for your life. But life? Where does that come from? Do you think the spark is contained in that original biological mix?

Your scientists don’t know, even with all the technology and advancements in the medical fields, the spark that or res life remains a mystery on earth.

Yet everyone and everything doesn’t give it a second thought. It would be unjust to say that nobody cares. It’s just an aspect of existence that is often overlooked.

Philosophers have always suggested that the spark that gives something life is controlled by God. That force to which everything is susceptible.

When someone suggests there is no God, ask them therefore how is life possible? How can plants reproduce? How can animals, insects and humans reproduce the life spark without there being no force, no God to administer it?

Your televisions and screens can capture the humble seed come to life with first a tiny root, a tender shoot, followed by a leaf and more stem, more leaves, growing towards the light.

Is that where the clue lies? The light? The light of God perhaps? If there is light, surely there is God with it?

From that spark of life, intelligence follows. Animals with automatic instincts. Humans with the option of choices. Life, ever evolving, ever growing, ever present, as is God. There cannot be one without the other. God is everything. Every thing means everywhere. Everywhere means around us and within us. To dismiss this is futile.

You and I exist because of God. We started out as a handful of elements. His spark gave the life to us. We live in God’s ‘world.
And yet, some will read my words that you are kindly writing for me and suggest I’m a religious fanatic, blindfolded and narrow-visioned. I think not, I reply. It is the others that are blind. To live and to not know why. To speak without thought. To deny, to dispute, to argue. To take all of God’s work for granted. That is not me and that should not become your way either.

You, and every one else have before you the wonder of time, the beauty of God’s home and the endless ability to love all and love oneself with it.

Isn’t life precious when you appreciate its value? Its value comes from its uniqueness. You are, as I am, unique creations from the God of all that is.

Enjoy your day my dear friend, and enjoy life, for without it, there is nothing. In God’s world nothing does not exist. You are something, if not nothing. Something always has value. Value your life and give praise to your creator.

Goodbye

MY AFTERTHOUGHTS

written at the time of this presentation

🔷  I have given this session a high star rating because of how much the message touched me. I know, without any doubt, that the message was delivered from another source other than my conscious mind. But what if the sceptics were correct and this session is nothing more than from my over-active imagination? It wasn’t, by the way, but if it was, I should be proud that such words can flow from my mind with such ease and colour.

🔷  In the preamble above, I mention an old mentor from my early learning days. Through this transcribing, I believe I have experienced the essence of her spirit touching and working with me. It’s a bold and somewhat emotive claim that of course I cannot prove. But here’s the thing – I don’t need to. I know what I know and this session reads as if she was speaking it to me. Whether it was or wasn’t her is irrelevant, the message is clear, strong, and should remind all that reads the words that life comes from a God force.

🔷  We always associate light with God and dark as without God. Perhaps there’s more to that than we care to accept. Scientifically speaking, light comes from the photon. But did you realise that the photon does not become light until it is observed by us? There is the deep message. We need to see the light for it to touch us. Millions of photons pass us by every second of our life, unobserved, unregistered, and failing to catch our attention. Deep, don’t you think?

“Is that where the clue lies? The light? The light of God perhaps? If there is light, surely there is God with it?”
