It’s been one of the busiest few weeks so far as so much is going on here. I’m juggling many balls!
Jane had to go in to Leigh Infirmary for an operation last week. It was for an hernia that was growing worryingly big. (read the ‘Reflections’ on Saturday for more details). Obviously, and without any hesitation, I have had to step up to the plate. Cooking, cleaning, shopping and all household chores are currently under my watch. Mind you, the meals this week have been more based on my favourites from the freezer, including burgers, fish fingers, fish and the likes. Tonight we’re having hash browns with bacon medallions, eggs and bread & butter. Perfect for the Traitors final!
Unfortunately I’ve had reduced time in the office and have only managed to keep up with the scheduled publications. I have also been checking all the things I will need to do in December to lock down the archive for January 1st. I’m excited about the prospects for next year. It most certainly can’t be worse than this year!
A Man Thing: Never mind Jane having an operation!!! I’ve had a blood test, a flu jab, a diabetes review, a chest x-ray (due to my chest issue returning yet again), and far fewer afternoon naps. But hey, I’m brave and not complaining!
It is weird how when our usual easy routine is upset, a kind of panic sets in and finds us longing to the return of the Feng Shui life. The antibiotics I’m now on are stronger and the doctor warned me that I might feel nauseous. She wasn’t wrong. I’m currently feeling that way, and the phlegm is starting to want to exit my lungs. Not nice.
I’ve just dropped Jane at the local hairdressers, because she’s not allowed to drive. In a few hours I’ll pick her up. We’ll be £100 lighter and I’m supposed to notice the difference in her hair. I usually lie and say “wow, lovely”. Meanwhile my haircut always looks like I’ve spent good money (£10) and lasts me for a few months.
Our gardener will be arriving shortly. I made a rooky error of creating a mixed list of jobs for her last time she came, last week. She took all the easy jobs off the list. Today, I’ll be asking her to do the pruning things on the list and to not bother spending an hour blowing leaves into a pile. Yes the leaves need doing, but was not a high priority thing on the list. Lesson learnt!
The website had a surge of visitors one day this week with over 200 hits. Unusual and probably suspicious. I’ll look into the stats detail later.
My big task ahead, apart from the lock down things, is getting the December publications completed and scheduled, in preparation for our return to Lanzarote. I have to complete five more at least. That equates to about 2-3 days work. My office is a mess! It’s more like a man-cave with stuff piled on the worktops awaiting my attention.
A final thought! I believe I am blessed to be spirit-aware and have asked for healing many times in the past few weeks. As a sensitive and medium, I cannot imagine how chaotic my life would be without the order that comes with living as a medium.
