- The Lanzarote Sessions
This is the twelfth session of the eighth series of Lanzarote Sessions, transcribed during a break to the Canary Islands in December 2024. During our frequent visits, I sit in the power of the spirit at least once daily and allow the spirit-connect to share a message with me.

My Jane speaks French and some German, as well as her English. She ought to be good at it, she taught these languages for forty years before she retired. Yet, on occasion, I moan at her for failing to communicate something to me clearly. I always suggest that if I don’t respond, there’s a chance I didn’t hear her message correctly. She jumps around with her words at times and I can’t catch the flow of what she’s communicating.
Of course, it doesn’t help that I’m a little deaf as well. I’m quite the opposite to her when it comes to relaying a story. Truth is, I probably over-emphasise the point I make, and use too many analogies to make my point clear. I deliberately work on the delivery of the communication, whereas Jane misses important details out, which means I’m asking questions to make sense of her story.
I’ve always liked using analogies, like parallel similar stories to animate my message. On their own, they have nothing to do with the message I’m supposed to be delivering, instead attempting to emphasis my message in another way. How boring I must seem to some people! I should take time to pick my words and make the message more concisely in the first place!
Our personality and characteristics within it are part of our spirit and therefore known to the spirit world. The transcribed messages, such as the one below, are planted in my mind by the speaker in the spirit world, using my language back, and some of my characteristics of writing. That is inevitable by the process. But , as you’ll read in the session below, this speaker pulled an odd choice of analogy from my mind to make a point. I’m not sure I understand why!
- POSTSCRIPT
Usually, if I type something that was not intended to be said from the speaker, I know to correct it, or erase it. Sometimes, they even tell me so and warn me to listen more carefully. That didn’t happen in this odd session below.
THE SPIRIT INSIGHT
transcribed on Saturday, 21st December 2024, at 3:00 pm
The world that mediums live in is extraordinary, don’t you think? The vast majority of people know little or nothing of their world, or at least, the way it is viewed by the medium.
The headline statement that life continues after that short one in the physical state is so emotive to others. Yet this world, where we in this life phase have communicated with earth dwellers, has existed for as long as the world has existed.
There have always been so many challenges associated with it though. Let me explain. On your planet, you have the horrid disease you call cancer. Yet cancer is not a single ailment. It is the collective term you use for diseases you term as cancer.
The same is so with mediums and connecting our two worlds. Every medium, whether on your earth, or here in this world, is different to the next. No two mediums are the same.
Each individual medium has to learn what works for them to get the best results. There are no carbon copies. Even though we are more aligned this side to getting better results, we too are unique. Did you notice how quickly I was able to connect with you and capture your attention? Others in this group might have taken longer.
Then the next issue to overcome would be finding what state of emotions and conditions you were in at that moment of your time. Sometimes the connection is quick, like this one was. Other times it appears to you that it takes longer.
You often refer to mediumship as not being an exact science. That is not strictly true. It takes a few ducks in a line for it to work, for both sides.
The Divine made every life unique in many ways. Yes we all might start with the same shaped body, but the real workings are in the mind and the personality. A unique mixture of compounds, emotional states and balances.
Your teachers do their very best, as you do, to share what it is they have learned and what works for them. But the onus is on the individual to constantly be finetuning and seeking better or alternative methods.
Your physical mediums are rare on earth because of the finely tuned set of conditions required for their work to be successful. Mediums, such as yourself, have explored other ways, such as you are doing now. Even with your mind-mediums, no two are alike. By the way, I prefer to call them mind-mediums. A much kinder term than mental mediums, which sounds like an inflication!
Sometimes we are aware that a medium on your side is struggling because he or she is trying far too hard to copy someone teaching them. The principles are more broader than you realise and what works for one, may not work for another. Every medium would be wise to consider themselves like a transistor radio with its own unique tuning needed.
Please pass my words on to any students you cross paths with. These truths alone may help them to explore their own unique potential and explore alternative methods, even if its only to do a little fine-tuning.
I am sitting in an advanced group of medums this side and believe me, we are all unique. Always remember. you have your own unique instructions. Take time to find them, and then fine-tune them. And never rule out exploring new methods.
Our two worlds are very close. It is up to you, and the next medium to find what unites us.
Thank you for your diligence this time. My words have been written well.
Peace be with you.
MY AFTERTHOUGHTS
written at the time of this presentation
🔷 As I hinted in the preamble above, I’ve no clue as to why this speaker is talking about cancer as a group of diseases. It doesn’t appear to relate to the message. Perhaps I’m missing something or need to read the session a few more times. If you’re like me and left confused as to why the reference, don’t worry about it. Even those in the spirit world are humans after all.
🔷 It is a helpful reminder from the speaker suggesting that we should remember that each of us are individuals with our own strengths and weaknesses. Our teachers can, of course, teach us the principles of connecting and communicating with the other side, but much of the ‘fine-tuning’, as this speaker calls it, is up to each of us to work on. A few years ago, when Tony Stcokwell was in the media eye a lot more, there were many ‘clones’ of his style of mediumship. It wasn’t that they were each bad, they weren’t, but it was obvious in their style and presentation who had taught them.
🔷 I would have liked this speaker to give more than the one sentence about the advanced group of mediums that he or she was speaking from. I would love to understand more about how their circles work. Perhaps some day, a speaker might share some insights with us. For example, how do they lower their vibration without effecting where they are in that world. Maybe I’m showing my ignorance there though!
