DREAMS OFTEN NOT SPIRIT INFLUENCED

THE PREAMBLE

This is the third of the seventh series of Lanzarote Sessions, transcribed during a break to the Canary Island in September 2024. During our frequent visits I sit in the power of spirit at least once every day and allow the spirit connect to share a message with me.

|| This summary written on 18th December 2024

I must keep my mind open with my work with the spirit world. Since retiring in mid-2024, I have chosen to spend less time in and around like-minded people while spending more in my office and my work.

There are essential benefits from mixing with others involved in this work with spirit. It’s a healthy part of being more rounded and in touch with others in the community. So, although I’ve chosen to withdraw to a more private lifestyle whilst continuing my work with the spirit world, I suggest that others do as I say rather than as I am doing. Of course, nowadays, with social media, emails, texting, and online communities, we are never really cut off from the outside world.

So, why do I suggest doing as I say rather than as I am doing? There are lots of valid reasons for my current choices. Firstly, as I mentioned, I’ve recently retired from mainstream work and am enjoying the freedom of doing what I want, when I want, without a schedule or a timetable to be somewhere at some time. But importantly, I am more active than ever with my spiritual unfoldment and development. This aspect of my life has been essential for a long time, and I don’t intend to give that up any time soon.

Occasionally, I will go and watch the better local mediums demonstrating their art. However, some have not lived up to the expectations I had for them, considering their social media high profiles! I read as much as time allows and have many books still to read. I am in communication with the spirit world every day without fail. Occasionally, I will offer private readings, as and when the time calls for it. The difference between me and some others is I don’t actively seek public recognition.

I’m only human, and it would be nice to be recognised for my work, but I don’t actively seek or expect it. That is a key difference I have learned to develop and live by. One significant aspect of my life nowadays is that I’ve reached the stage where I trust with my heart that I have a regular and ongoing connection with the spirit team that is choosing to work with me. I know my own truth. While some might, given the chance, doubt my work with spirit, particularly with the WFSIW series, I don’t. I follow a strict protocol every time and have high expectations from the people in spirit working with me.

The speakers were strict with me during the opening sessions of this seventh series of The Lanzarote Sessions. They told me what I needed to hear rather than what I thought I wanted to hear. This is possible thanks to two essential ingredients in my work – trust and honesty. I trust myself, my ability to connect, and my relationship with the other side. I always insist on honesty in everything I do involving this work with spirit. These two ingredients haven’t always been in place, and I suspect many other like-minded people are lacking either or both of them without realising it.

As I have always believed, life is a work-in-progress and the best way to achieve the best is to remain a student, acting with trust and honesty.

I am in a constant state of reviewal. Every piece of work that I do pertaining to the spirit world needs to be based on those two words I mentioned above. Sometimes, draft notes (though not WFSIW sessions) never get further from the draft state, because I’m not satisfied with the validity of it.

THE SPIRIT INSIGHT

transcribed on Friday 20th September 2024 at 3:45 pm

Good afternoon to you. Today is my last session with you for a while. I was asked to work with you only to sharpen you up with the pen once more.

Before you started writing my words, you heard in your mind a request to leave the transcribing until after you’d had a nap, as you intended to. However, you have chosen to ignore that, and instead of sleeping, you’re writing my words.

Of course, these choices are yours to make. But would you go to a training class if you were tired? Would you not want to be refreshed and ready to learn? This is one small demonstration of how your discipline often reveals your haste to act without thought.

As you well know, more than most, good mediums are so because of their discipline. One of your tutors once told you that you can’t shortcut a shortcut. So don’t try! It wastes your time and dilutes your results.

Earlier this day you were questioning in your mind what significance were the two unusual dreams you had last night. I am pleased to inform you that they both had nothing to do with the world of spirit. They were nothing more than your tangled mass of neurons in your brain escaping as your mind rested.

Yes, some dreams are influenced by the spirit realm, but not as open as people seem to suggest. We’re not mind-burglars entering every opportunity you offer. Your mind is generally your domain. Times such as today with me are because your spirit invited us.

As we’ve always said to people your side, there is nothing complicated about the process of us talking with each other. The complications and confusions are usually due to human mind interceptions, always desiring to make things more difficult than they are.

You’ve done well this session. I’m impressed you’ve held good focus. My job of sharpening you once more has been successful and your next session will be held with someone else.

There are many people waiting to talk to you. So please keep your discipline and focus. Always remind yourself that you’re doing this communication for your benefit and not for others. If they get something from the words, that’s a bonus.

Your mind is probing, wanting to know who I was when on earth. Here’s the only thing I’m telling you – I am still that person. That’s all that is important.

Have a good nap and enjoy the rest of the speakers that are wanting to speak to you.

Goodbye my friend.

MY AFTERTHOUGHTS

written at the time of this presentation

  • This speaker has a subtle dig at me right from the off! Indeed, I was going to nap before commencing this transcription, but instead, I chose to connect and get it done first. Perhaps they were correct in pulling me on it, even though their words were mild!
  • How often do we wake from sleep, recall a dream we had, and wonder if it was somehow the work of those in the spirit world? I appreciate the honesty of this speaker informing me that my dreams originated from my brain.
  • That was another welcome reminder from the spirit team to confirm this work is primarily for my benefit. Others may also find the words helpful to them, which is a good thing.

“Yes, some dreams are influenced by the spirit realm, but not as open as people seem to suggest. We’re not mind-burglars entering every opportunity you offer.”

REBRANDING FOR 2025

The series of WFSIW has been rebranded to Spirit Insights. A few minor tweaks have been added to the new design for a cleaner look.

The actual sessions remain the same and they will all be indexed together as one collection

How Writing Is Achieved

During a session of sitting in the power, Trevor opens his notebook and transcribes the words he hears in his mind as a speaking voice. The transcription is exactly as it is heard.

Only a few words are heard at a time, giving Trevor time to transcribe them. Trevor never knows ahead what the topic of the communication will be.

The process is known as automatic or inspired writing, determined by the depth of the connection.

RECENT

The words are heard as a voice in my mind and written exactly as heard. However, occasionally the translation from voice to words contains grammatical faults. Where these effect the structure and meaning, during the process of converting the notes to this digital form, minor adjustments may be made.

"For his television series The Enemies of Reason, the well-known debunker and atheist Professor Richard Dawkins interviewed Nicholas Humphrey, Professor of Psychology at the London School of Economics. Humphrey – also an atheist – stated that, even when using traditional medicine, most of the cure is usually from within the patient’s own body. He went on to say that, for some patients, alternative medicine can be more effective than traditional treatment and that, therefore, people should not be dissuaded from seeing a healer."

ABOUT TREV'S AFTERTHOUGHTS

The WFSIW sessions are usually published some time after being transcribed. This allows Trevor to read the transcription from a fresh perspective and the ability to critique better.

2025 CHANGES

As of January 2025, the original WFSIW page design has been updated, and every session added after that date uses this new format.

The series is initially only available in full to the Spirited Talk Envoys, who are paying subscribers. After six weeks, the page is made available to everyone.
