This is the twelfth session of the ninth series of Lanzarote Sessions, transcribed during a break to the Canary Islands in March 2025. During our frequent visits, I sit in the power of the spirit at least once daily and allow the spirit-connect to share a message with me.

When I chose this path for my life, back at the turn of this century, there were a few negative issues I had to overcome. Not from me, but from those close to me. Family, friends and relatives were all too quick to chip in and share their opinions of ‘talking to dead people’!
Being the person that sucked up a lot of bullying in my younger youth, this was nothing new to me. Perhaps what did surprise me was how many of them were only too happy to share their opinions of mediums and spiritualists. “A bunch of freaks and weirdos that have lost grip with reality” was how they described them. Now I was being conned to believe it all, the utter nonsense of people claiming to be able to talk to dead people!
I lost one or two of them as friends altogether, and the majority of the others gave me a wide berth, not that that bothered me too much. I had set out to find the truth, and to find out why so many ‘weird’ things had started to happen in my life. There were a few weak areas that I had troubles getting my head around. I didn’t believe in God, not at least how I’d been taught to understand him. I also believed that philosophy was the same as preaching the word of God, so I gave that a miss at every opportunity as well!
I just wanted to learn, if at all possible, how to talk to the so-called spirit people. Of course, it’s largely taken me that quarter of a century to realise that we don’t talk to spirit people as such, we listen to them. Some would argue that we can talk to the spirit world, and I would entirely agree with that statement. But holding a conversation, in the sense of two people talking, often over each other, is not really how this works. Anyway, my challenge of learning who or what God is took a very long time, and much learning and unfolding. Those last two elements work hand-in-hand, that’s why we always say that students will have to develop (from learning) and unfold (from the consequences).
Nowadays, I’d be excited about doing an address talking and defining who and what God is. In fact, I’d relish it. Part of me would be from the evil part inside wanting to pick out those in the gathering that could be seen squirming from the uncomfortableness of such a conversation! The speaker in this session is obviously confident talking about God, and their message to us all addresses some important points we should all take heed of.
I am often reminded of how lucky I was to have sat in the late Joan Dunbar’s circle. She was known as an ‘old-school’ spiritualist that believed in creating the correct foundations for her students. There’s so much more to mediumship than just giving half-baked messages.
THE SPIRIT INSIGHT

Good day. God doesn’t care how much dressing it has, just the core purpose. I am, of course, talking about religions and beliefs created by mankind, to serve their needs and desires.
Your world is filled with windows. In offices, in homes, in the countryside and in the cities. Every different window has an equally different view of the world outside. That world is God, the Divine power that created everything. An ant walking across your feet may never realise that far above it, that you have eyes. The fish in the seas will never appreciate the hills and the deserts.
The world is everything, as is God. No religion can claim the sole rights to represent the great almighty, nor should they dare to. Neither should those religions be claiming what God wants and what we should be doing. God’s will is your free will. Your choices, your decisions, your windows to view God’s world.
God doesn’t expect, nor require martyrs. God doesn’t require preachers to spread the alleged word of God. God doesn’t seek representation, nor should anyone undertake that position. God doesn’t require others to speak for him, to dictate and enforce was what is not his words, nor his wishes.
When mankind, the children of God, begin to realise that God is the all encompassing force of life with no needs, no demands, no recompense and no rewards, then, and only then, will mankind begin to appreciate that God is everything, requires nothing but to value the life he gave all.
Many people are reluctant to talk about God, for fear of being mocked, scorned or hurt by others. Others who talk about God, do so with him wrapped in a cloak representing their religion, a collective view point that barely represents the God.
Mankind cannot help but place the God of all on a pedestal, as untouchable, unreachable, unforgiving and relenting. This is not the God’s way.
When the day should come when mankind realises, awakens and embraces God for what he is and what he represents, progress will come. Those that say God forgives, do so with ignorance. Those that suggest God punishes, do so for their own desires. God demands nothing of us.
What is known and accepted is that living life in God’s light will more one’s soul nearer to God. That is the purpose of an eternal life that each of God’s creations have.
For some, it may take longer than one earth life to realise. Many moons will rise and many suns will set for some humans to progress towards the source of everything, we know as God.
What does God want of you? Nothing. God is, will be, and always has been the life force, the light of the universe and beyond. What is your part? You are God’s creation to do with it what you may until some day in your everlasting life, you realise that God’s way is the best way. It is where you soul is bonded, to God the master, the force, the power that gives your life and that is life.
Consider my words and do with them what you may.

MY AFTERTHOUGHTS

🔷Though my beliefs are align with those of this speaker, I’m impressed with the decoration of the words used to make the points. This one point alone is the evidence I seek when deciding how much of my own mind could have been in the blend of the message. Yes, the analogy of windows, I was aware of. Yes, the point about being mocked and scorned was something I’d suffered. But no, I would have taken a lot longer than the time it took to take this transcription to be able to compose such words with grace and elegance. Hence the reason I gave this session a high star rating.
🔷 Imagine for one moment, a scene where, as a working medium, you’re facing a congregation filled with people listening to you. Then, you pick one person to give a reading to. What happens next? Probably more than three quarters of the remaining audience will temporarily switch off listening. The message isn’t for them. But imagine if you were able to speak as fluently as this speaker about God for just five minutes. How many people would those words have touched? That, for me, is the power of mediumship at work.
🔷 I find myself exploring a potential world where there is only one version of God in the purest sense that he would welcome. How long would it take for community leaders, church leaders and the like to break off into their own sects? Over time, yet again there would end up many hundreds of versions of God, far from the original meaning. Why would humans deem themselves important enough to do that? Yet, in many senses, that has happened in this world. It’s even happening in our spiritualist organisations, of which I no longer participate.
