- The Lanzarote Sessions
This is the ninth session of the eighth series of Lanzarote Sessions, transcribed during a break to the Canary Islands in December 2024. During our frequent visits, I sit in the power of the spirit at least once daily and allow the spirit-connect to share a message with me.
|| This summary written on 1st May 2025
Everybody, at some time in their life, has claimed to have received a sign from a loved one in the spirit world. That’s a big statement, so let me explain what I mean by it.
We’ve all had times when someone has said to us that their loved one sent a sign that they are around us. It’s probably happened to all of us at least once, if not many more times than that. These signs come in all shapes and sizes and there are no rules about what, how, or when it happens.
The random white feather, the flickering light, the moving curtains, the distinct feeling of someone being present in the empty room, the random touch, the song on the radio, and many more such examples. For those few moments, the recipient openly states that they believe it was Mum, Dad, or someone they know in the spirit world sending a sign. A few minutes later, they’ll likely deny they believe in life after death! Make sense of that.
As students working with the spirit, we recognise and appreciate that the language of words is far from the only way that our friends get their messages across. It therefore makes sense that we work on that ‘toolbox’ of symbols and signs, build it and use it in our work. At this point, I can’t stop myself suggesting that, if you are serious about your unfoldment, as you should be, and you are keeping a journal, diary or notebook, then you should be dedicating a section for logging what the symbols and signs are that your spirit connect have used with you. If the page is empty, it highlights how you are missing out on a valuable communication thread.
The speaker in this session opens with delight that I’d heard the song they’d sent me to get my attention. If there was an active forum on this website, I’d encourage you to share the symbols and signs you’ve found that work for you.
- POSTSCRIPT
Most mediums should have developed a sign they note for when the spirit people connect with them. Perhaps a shiver on the neck, as works for me, or something else that we rely on to accept there is a connection. Of course, it’s not essential, but wonderful when it works.
THE SPIRIT INSIGHT
transcribed on Weednesday, 18th December 2024, at 3:15 pm
It’s your afternoon and I sense you’re enjoying a better climate.
I got your attention with a song playing in your mind. We know that works well for you. Yes you can write the line you were hearing.
“That’s the way, I like it, a ha aha,”
I’ve no reason in particular for using that one. Perhaps it was in my mind at the time.
It’s funny how our mind’s do that, don’t you think? Out of nowhere, and for no reason, something completely random comes into your mind. Of course, we know you respond to songs playing in that way, when you’re preparing to connect with us for this work.
One of the best tools that mediums of old, and some mediums today, do, is produce their own bank of symbols and signs for this work. We use them all the time with mediums. The difficulty lies with the mediums that don’t recognise they are from us, and if they do, they think it’s a one-off.
If mediums have symbols and signs they associate with connecting to us, we always acknowledge them, without fail. It makes our job a whole lot easier.
As you’re writing my words, a portion of your mind is trying to think if you use symbols as much as you should. Let me answer for you. Yes you do use them, as we’re experienced for this connection. But you don’t have enough, if I’m to be straight with you.
I would suggest that the next time you connect with us, (and this includes your readers), pay more attention to all the signs, the sensations and remain keenly observant.
If something happens, think of it as for a reason. When your guide recognises such signs, and you thereafter connect it with a specific matter, we, and those working with you, will add it to the communication vocabulary and use it again and again.
Don’t forget, every symbol, every sign, every association, started with one. And then the medium remembers it and looks out for it again.
We like song titles a lot. Those short phrases can contain so much information that would be more difficult to put in any other way. Let me give you an example. For this, you’re going to have to be patient to get the response. I’ll play a song in your mind and I want you to write the words down.
“Don’t go breaking my heart. I couldn’t if I tried.”
Excellent. I like that song from Elton John. Now, here’s the thing you don’t yet know.
That song means something special to one of your readers. They had a great story associated with when they once heard it. I won’t spoil the fun. I’ll ask if the person reacting that song title would mind dropping this medium a summary of why that song is special to you. I obviously am aware you’ll read these words of mine, so do your bit and give this medium the feedback please.
The exciting part about creating a bank of symbols for work as a medium is its free and easy to do.
There we have it. Today’s lesson is over. I hope you found this beneficial and my words strike a chord with you! Nice play on words there! I’m proud of that!
Enjoy the rest of your day and as always, stay ready.
Goodbye for now.
MY AFTERTHOUGHTS
written at the time of this presentation
🔷 It’s worth mentioning that not all mediums need to have an awareness of symbols or signs. If the medium has spent a lifetime working with the spirit world, their connecting methods are likely to be strong enough to not need to rely on them. A developing medium, however, needs to stack all the odds and use everything to strengthen the relationship and the communication connection. As the old joke states, you have to buy a lottery ticket if you want to win the jackpot!
🔷 The speakers that have connected me since making this work public have, several times, suggested direct messages to the readers. I’m happy with that. However, it would be lovely, and a comfort for me, to receive a validation from the reader who can take the message. This is an aspect of mediumship that I’ve always found difficult to understand. That is, why on earth do people that receive a message from the other side choose to ignore the messenger. I don’t need the validation, but it would be nice now and then. If nothing else, it would be a sign that polite people still exist!
🔷 This speaker suggests that they also keep a note of what symbols and signs work with their earth-people connecting. Songs playing in my head work well for me. I always ask, “why did that song randomly come into my mind?” More often than not, it doesn’t! It’s been planted in my mind as a sign or a message. With regards to the opening song that came into my mind, I checked who sang it for this article. It was a big hit for KC and the Sunshine Band in 1975. The lyrics are very limited. However, the first verse contains:
When I get to be in your arms
When we’re all, all alone
When you whisper sweet in my ear
When you turn, turn me on
Those words alone are full of validations, don’t you think?
