In The Beginning Was The Word

|| This summary was written on Friday 15th March 2024

I have no idea how this series came about, or what motivated it to happen! I suspect that someone or something I learned at that time inspired me to try it out for myself. I do know that I only started doing it publicly as an experiment.

I had done ‘inspired writing’ in the past, so the concept was not new to me. However, I had no experience doing it consistently, sticking with a format, and abiding by my own set of rules. All of that was to come through the evolution of the process.

I think, one of the key reasons might have been that I had recently acquired a fantastic digital notepad that made writing an absolute pleasure. Two years later and I’m still using that very notepad.

The main evolution has happened because of specific rules I realised I would need to adhere to for my work to be considered seriously. As a strong believer in rituals and routines with my work with the spirit world, I developed specific ways to approach this style of mediumship.

The important ingredient of what I now term spirit-inspired writing is in the power of the words transcribed on behalf of the speaker in the spirit world. The only part I play in the work is in the presentation for other readers.

During the development of this website, I had reason to peruse my huge archive of digital work. When I looked at some of the early sessions I wanted to update them to align with the new and modern format I use today. More importantly, I wanted to take a look back at the early sessions to appreciate how the writing might have evolved.

I was surprised and somewhat delighted, to learn that the messages from the speakers were, and still are, very interesting and worthy of being updated for this collection.

  • I recommend you pay attention to the date stamps in the WFSIW presentations. There is always a difference between when the notes were originally transcribed, and when the accompanying notes were written.

ADJUSTMENTS

The words are heard as a voice in my mind and written exactly as heard. However, occasionally the translation from voice to words contains grammatical faults. Where these effect the structure and meaning, during the process of converting the notes to this digital form, minor adjustments may be made.

The Process

This session contains questions that were sent to my partner’s email address.

At the time of sitting for this session, my partner wrote the questions onto this notepad prior to me sitting.

I did not know who sent the questions until after this session was complete.

The process of reading the questions and commencing writing is continuous.

This session was transcribed during a stay in Lanzarote in December 2023.

4th series of Lanzarote sessions.

THE WFSIW SESSION

Session transcribed on Friday 4th March 2022 at 02:00 am

I'm glad you've chosen to use the pen for us to use with you. We must ask that you set your frame of mind correctly before each session. Allow your mind to be free of any thoughts of what the coming words should be. It is only through the trust we must develop that we may instill into your mind the words we want you to write.

The trust we must have will be the driving force that should please the words you scribe. Let us work together to give meaning and hope through the language we share.

There are so many topics for our discussions together that we hope will bring some sort of enlightenment to you. We know that for others reading these words, the reliability will be weakened by the fact that they are not part of the process. But we do this with you in the hope that at least your truth will strengthen with us. We have brought you much evidence of our presence in your recent days.

Our voice has been heard in your sanctuary. These methods of communication are used because we know these ways to be essential at that time. These various methods we use, we do so to prove to you we are with you, and willing to work with you.

Trust is like steel, and hard to develop without certain ingredients. Think not that it is merely a case of saying it and believing it. That is not enough. For if it was, life would be so easy. Trust needs a foundation to be established. More than just belief, or a desire.

Trust must be a knowing. As you write these words, you are trusting that the words are coming from us and not merely from your own mind, even though that is the very medium we are using. It works because your trust has become hardened and formed from your experiences, conditions, and personal gathering of knowledge.

We have spent this first session with you as a form of unblocking you and getting a flow of words through to you, in the hope of improvement. We would like to leave you with a short message to end this first session, in the hope you'll return again.

People want everything to be clear and without smoke and mirrors. You have to accept these limitations of the people, and continue anyway. It will take more than one communication, or one passed message to convince anyone. That does not mean the words are less valuable, after all, they are only words. But when they are trusted by the ears of the person receiving them, the words take on a real value.

I know that all you want to hear about is what life is like over here. But really, that is not the message you need to hear. Your growth and understanding cannot be based on that sort of knowledge. But it can be from the real messages we'll share with you. Perhaps you'd do good to rest on these words and revisit them tomorrow when you'll see for yourself that this communication has been remarkable, considering it is your first session with us, and heavily relied on you reporting everything you have penned.

God bless you.

AFTERTHOUGHTS

written on Friday 15th March 2024
741 days after the session was transcribed

Reading this session again after 741 days is as if I’ve never read it before. So the comments I make are based on my current state of mind and experience. I expected to be a little squirmy about the early messages but instead was remarkably impressed with the depth of the content.

🔷  There are signs that the words heard were not as clear as they are nowadays. Some of the sentences appear what I call ‘foggy’. In other words, the message is somewhat fragmented. But considering these notes were written at the beginning of this work, I can accept that.

🔷  In those early days of this work, I was very strict in writing only a few words at a time, awaiting the speaker to complete the sentence. Although I still have similar restrictions nowadays, I have developed a trust with the spirit speaker that allows a little more freedom when forming the text.

🔷  I am so impressed by how this speaker makes a big deal about the importance of trust, and how it is developed through actions, rather than words alone. Anyone can say they trust something, but their actions speak louder.

How Writing Is Achieved

During a session of sitting in the power, Trevor opens his notebook and transcribes the words he hears in his mind as a speaking voice. The transcription is exactly as it is heard.

Only a few words are heard at a time, giving Trevor time to transcribe them. Trevor never knows ahead what the topic of the communication will be.

The process is known as automatic or inspired writing, determined by the depth of the connection.

"Faith is a cop-out. If the only way you can accept an assertion is by faith, then you are conceding that it can't be taken on its own merits."

Dan Baker

ABOUT TREV'S AFTERTHOUGHTS

The WFSIW sessions are usually published sometime after being transcribed. This allows Trevor to read the transcription from a fresh perspective and ability to critique better.
