DAILY NOTES
- Today was special – it was Jane’s birthday.
- The day was so hot that even Jane had to come out of the sun occasionally.
- A better day for a lack of flies.
- Lunch today was our favourite snack – bacon and egg baguette with trimmings and orange juice.
- In the evening we went to Fernando’s sister’s restaurant called La Opera.
- The meal was delicious. For me, I found the entire experience somewhat pretentious.
- I started with a Salade La Opera – a fancy salad!
- Jane started with a seafood crepe – fish paste pancake!
- Jane’s main meal was prawns in a champagne sauce which, she described as, absolutely amazing! (easily impressed!)
- For main meal, I had pork in a sauce. Delicious but sparing in quantity!
- We completed the occasion with desserts (puddings to me!) and coffee.
- Back at the villa, we ended the evening with incense sticks burning and gin and tonics each.
